Ops Engineer
Job Location :
Poland (100% remote work possible)Your role
- supporting a wide range of backend applications, including ad hoc patch deployments, 24/7 on-call, maintenance, troubleshooting and applying periodic and continuous updates;
- ability to handle individual end-to-end tasks independently, but also work with a larger team to achieve larger goals;
- identifying and providing feedback on areas of improvement in processes and procedures to the team;
- assist in the development, implementation, documentation and adherence to application standards;
- providing guidance and direction on documentation of new procedures and standards;
- conducting analysis, notifications and trending for the collection of application statistics;
- creating test plans for new versions of the application;
- ability to take ownership of group projects and complete all tasks on schedule;
- ability to troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis for any production issues.
Your skills & experience
- bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience;
- 5+ years of experience in Ops or related role;
- Linux systems knowledge (performance tuning, basic networking, file systems);
- experience with version control systems like Git, SVN etc.;
- scripting including Python, Shell, Java Script and DB scripting;
- strong troubleshooting skills;
- experience with Agile development methodologies;
- understanding of key technologies: Linux, Application or OS tuning, Networks (TCP/IP), DNS, relational databases (Oracle, MYSQL, EDB);
- nice to have: SIP, PERL, AWS technologies.
