Amazon Web Services is one of the three most popular cloud platforms in the world. For almost 4 years now, Billennium has been constantly expanding its technical competencies and working on projects using AWS products and services.
As a result, in September 2021 we officially joined the AWS Partner Network (APN), gaining the AWS Select Tier status.
APN is Amazon’s global partner program whose participants are technology and consulting companies that use AWS to develop their products. To participate in the program, a company must meet a number of criteria.
These including employing a sufficient number of specialists with AWS technical certificates, obtaining a sufficient level of revenue from the sale of services based on AWS or having at least one public reference from clients for the implementation of a project using this technology.
AWS DevOps team at Billennium
The AWS DevOps team was established at Billennium in 2018. Today, it consists of more than 25 individuals coming from Poland, Romania, India and Malaysia. We currently hold 24 certificates, including:
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate,
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate,
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – professional,
AWS Certified Developer – Associate,
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
Since its formation, the Team has participated in nearly 30 projects, both as part of the DevOps service in end-to-end projects where we provided complete solutions, as well as individual specialists as part of business and technical consulting for Billennium customers.
The main goal of participating in the APN partnership program is to obtain new business contracts to create new solutions, to further develop technical skills and to attract new people for cooperation who want to develop within the AWS and DevOps specialization.
Our plans for the coming few years include obtaining new levels as part of the partnership program, i.e. AWS Advanced and AWS Premier status, which will be tantamount to expanding our skills and will allow us to derive even more business profits. Our main goal is to become the leader in cloud solutions in Poland.
For over four years now, we have been intensively developing our skills in the field of AWS cloud. We already have over a dozen of finished projects in our portfolio. We constantly devote our time to investing considerable funds that will result in the development of skills and certification of our employees.
AWS Select Tier status is the official confirmation of our specialization in these technologies. I would like to sincerely thank all the people who contributed to obtaining the partner status with their work and commitment.
I am sure that it will have a positive impact on the company’s business development and will facilitate the recruitment of new employees who want to develop in the field of AWS and DevOps. Nowadays, finding such specialists is quite a challenge.
So we launched the DevOps Academy where we educate our future consultants in terms of participation in specific projects for Billennium customers.

DevOps Academy – let’s train future specialists
The DevOps Academy was established in April 2021. Its program consists of 10 modules which are carried out over a period of six months.
As part of the classes, future specialists learn under the supervision of five certified and experienced trainers. The trainees are shown how to work using the specific methodology and use the most popular DevOps tools, and they also learn about the best design practices.
An important aspect guiding the trainers during the program is changing the way of thinking and habits of the participants to the ones that are appropriate to the DevOps way of working, i.e. automation, cooperation and shortening the time and the costs of project implementation.
